I posted this in the zx-10 page and didnt get any response didnt know if any of you saw it and maybe you guys could help me out. My buddy blew up his gixxer 600 and has a chance at a 04 zx-10. he has heard that they have a problem with the trannys and asked me. I told him i would check on here. I was wondering if anyone knew of any problems, what they might be, how they are fixxed and was it corrected for 05

 

2 of my buddies have an 03 and an 04 zx10, and they love them! no tranny probs at all from them, one has around 8000, and the other has 12000. If that helps at all.

I've got an 03 636, and it sometimes locks like its not in any gear all. If i down shift 2-3 it wil lock up. Its also real clanky and rough feeling.

 

is this a dealer reconized problem?
