The following is for a 2005 ZX-6R, there may be a difference since the 2005's have a slipper type clutch but it should be close.

Torque - Clutch Spring Bolts: 8.8 N·m (0.90 kgf·m, 78 in·lb)

The part you would be interested in is the 78 in/lb which is 6.5 lb/ft if your torque wrench reads lb/ft as opposed to in/lb. The 8.8 is newton-meters which is another form of power like inch/pounds (in/lb) and pound/feet (lb/ft).

By "slipper clutch", I am referring to the type of clutch that is in the 2005 and newer ZX-6R's. It allows the clutch plates to "slip" when you downshift quickly and the revs go higher. This will stop the rear tire from getting a little squirrley when downshifting fast into a corner. Your clutch is a different type so it might be a different spec on the torque setting.

Hope this helps...

yes got the clutch in sunday and man what a world of difference, the steel plates was black and every last 1 of them was like that, the fibers looked ok but was worn, but i went back new with versah fibers, kg steels with oem specs & ebc HD clutch springs and adjusted the clutches to my like and this baby will power wheelie now in 1st with ease, time before that it wouldn't and i had -1+2 gearing then and now

Do you have a part number on the vesrah fibers? Did you buy them from dennis kirk? VC-487 sound right? What are KG steels with OEM specs? Sorry about all the questions but I want to have the same clutch set-up. I've decided against a barnett

i got the versah plates off ebay, if u order them make sure they come with 9 fibers and not 8, they make 2 kits for the 03-04 zx 6r's, also i got the kg steels thru parts unlimited and ebc springs as well, yeah barnett are junk to me, they don't last long and plus the versah are what they are puttin the factory bikes now from stock
