do you have a bike? and what are you really looking for. top speed or the over all performance of a bike. how much ride time do you really have? because if top speed is all your after, then get yourself a liter bike. but you better make sure you could handle it. it will kick you in the ***. the second you don't respect the bike.

no, I do'nt have a bike yet, but I'am undecide on a 636 R because of it's extra 36cc, under the seat exhaust and it look nice and the rpm suck's . When I sat on the 05 6R up right a little of my view was cut off from seeing the LCD screen . the 600 GSXR because of it's nice looking LCD sreen and rpm and money it's a little cheeper to buy a 600 cc bike or just go for the 750cc and call it a day

You can compare the stats on any two motorcycles at this site http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en....asp?compare=Y

It is really awesome to see the side by side comparisons!

I have done 178mph on mine, BUT the speedometers are off on bikes. I went to bike week in daytona and they had a big semi trailor there where you "dyno race" and me and my bro raced top end and it said i only did 165.55mph. So technically a '05 636 will only do 165 but the speedometer says it will do a lot more. But that goes for any bike

This is a pretty good question, knowing now that the 6r is 165 top speed what would the 6RR be ????, Not sure if you guys know but the 6RR comes with a close ratio semi-race transmisson similar to settings in AMA sport bike so knowing this would this compromise my top -end, I guess i'll find out when i dyno !!!

I know its a close ratio gearbox, but not sure what the top gear is like so I would say that it would accelerate faster then the 6r, but maybe not outrun it in topspeed.
