tire help
the time has come for a rear tire. i have a michelin pilot power on the bike, it was a race takeoff, when i bought the bike if was kinda wore already, but i ended up flat spoting it pretty bad on the interstate. so im looking for a rear budget performance tire. im tight on cash but i cant ride till i get a good tire. so please dont laugh but i have a brand new shinko raven on the front and i was wonder should or is the shinko a good idea for the rear. my driving style is not really aggressive as in leaning, i dont hit the twisties hard, just an average rider i guess, but i love the triple digits , so what tire should i go with , please comment only if you have experience with a certain tire, thanks ninja riders

RE: tire help
How much are you looking to spend for a new rear tire? Im sure you can find a new pilot power for 115-120. I've used the pilot powers and super cora pros and have to say pilot powers feel the best for me. I've read some not so good reviews about the shinkos but I have also heard they make some good cheep drag tires for bikes. I think skg's husband uses them on his bike at the strip not sure if it was him or some one else i'm thinking of.

RE: tire help
i've heard of the pilot powers lasting from 6-10k miles with normal riding. Tires are not somthing you want to skimp on. There are tires that will last longer but I would rather spend a little more money to get somthing that is going to stick like crazy and heat up fairly fast.

RE: tire help
The only diffrence in the 2ct's is the sides of the tire are softer but the center section is the same as the normal power tires. So the sides will wear faster on the 2ct but they will both flat spot or wear through at the same rate on the center section. I think the 2cts are only a couple bucks more then the normal powers.
