can i put 05 fairings on an 01? I know they aren't exactl the same, but i was curious. I know I wouldhave to buy a headlight assy. and tail light assy also., but that ain't no problem. Just curious if they will bolt on or would I have to do too many mods to it for them to fit. If not I was gonna just go ahead and buy a complete extra set off EBAy and piece together a completel extra set and have them painted. including a tank. Just pondering on a new paint job for the winter, but my fairings are now screwed up due to a slow lay down in my gravel driveway. Damn gravel driveway and hitting the front brakes too hard dont go well together....

Are you doing your own painting? If so show some pics or pass along some tips. I have a painting project that I am not sure if I want to do myself or just pay a shop to do it.

 

painting ain't that hard. I painted my truck, but I am gonna let afriend of mine do my bike. He works at a body shop and does side jobs too for friends and extra cash. He has never done a bike, so he told me all I gotta do is give him the paint and he will take care of me.

I am thinking about doing it white with either a blue pearl, or blue ghost flames. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I know I want it solid white. I rarely see white bikes.

 

Yea I like white too. They are very rare indeed. Is your friend in so cal by any chance.

 

hell naw. I woudl't be able to afford to ship my stuff all the way there. He is in southern GA.
