Default tail lights, turn signal alternitive

i just got my tail light, turnsignal alt. from the dealer. i was out in the parking lot about to pop the sucker in, started taking out screw after screw after bolt after screw... damn near took the whole rear and side off. Is the plastic covering the side of the exhaust supposed to come off with the blinkers? with stalk exhaust, are the asthetics there there? or does it look off? and how the hell do you wire the tail light into the blinker. point being, i couldn't figure it out, the tech guys came out and said it's about a two hour job for even their guys (06 zx6r) anybody else install these themselves? they said it's about 140-300 bucks. hella pricey. i obviously don't know what i'm doing, anyone have any opinions on my best options? i installed the front ones just fine. anyone have anypic's of what they look like installed with the stock exhaust? thanks everybody!

you mean the clear alternatives lights? that takes about 30 min or so to install. Just pull of the tail, remove the light, splice the yellow wires to the (+) side of the turn signal lights and put back together

It should also only cost you about $99 shipped. I would run it without the large ears (blinkers) and unnecessary plastics, much cleaner.

This is what I have, and who I got it from... I live in indy and went and talked with them about integrateds... It took me a little while to do it, but was well worth it. It does involve some cutting with a dremel, soldering (if your comfortable with soldering, if not they provide wire taps), and hot glue...

I don't know how different the 03 is to the 05/06, but my friend and I installed our integrated taillights in about 45minutes for two bikes.

I had to remove the entire tail and cut some wires, but very simple. Might take you a bit when your doing it, but trust me try it out yourself. You might find it to be not so bad and you feel great after you do it yourself.

ok bro.... the rear seat has to come off... then the rear cowl has to come off.... the side panels near the exhuast has to come off... at that point all your wires for the turn signal and rear brake light are exposed.... then it's just down hill from there..... it should only take you about an hour to do.... well if you have the right tools...... but it's not that bad..... hey evil thats a great pic of your bike....
