tail light

Default tail light

i know this might sound retarded but i just put on the INTEGRATED TAILLIGHTS from clear alternatives on the bike. are they suppose to be brake lights on it or is it just the turn signals and tail light.

YES YOU SHOULD HAVE A BREAK LIGHT, BUT I CAN'T ADVISE YOU HOW TO FIX IT OR HOW TO TEST FOR IT. SORRY.

are they the ones that are both brake lights and turn signals or are they just they turn signals off the side of the bike? cause if they are the ones on the side, some of them blink fast and you would have to ad a resister to slow it down... if it's the brake/sigs. then thats the way they are...

just a fyi If you get the clear altunatives brake light w/ integrated signals, they come with resistors, but u dont need them. So if it comes down to u needing resistors let me know i have a pair.

i put the resistors in. the problem was one of the pins on the tail light was bent and not going into the plug correctly. after i fixed that the tail light, brake light and turn signals work perfect. thanks for all the help guys

Don't mean to change the subject but does anybody know if colored tail lights by Clear Alternatives street legal. I like the look of the blue but for some reason I have a big target painted on my back and I don't want another reason for the cops to pull me over.

well from what i understand, you can't have any colored lights on any vehicle.... specialy blue, red, green, and yellow... but hey it's only elligal if you get cought, right?[8D]

I'd go ask the guy inspecting your bike. The law could vary for motorcycles in different states.
