Default Sprocket Questions

Just a quick question because I can't find the answer anywhere. I have a 06 636. I (my shop) put on new sprockets about 1 month ago. -1 +2. The rear sprocket is aluminum and has already worn out. I would like to go with a steel sprocket 45 tooth but am having a bitch of a time finding one. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

www.sprocketcenter.com

Call them and ask for brian he can help you over the phone and then ship the steel sprocket to you. I have had good dealings with him.

I have the same set up and use steel so as to not wear out so quickly, aluminum is for racing and not meant to last long just be light.

You should replace the chain also because a stretched chain or worn sprocket will cause the chain or sprocket to wear out faster/ prematurely. CTSMoto has great deals on sprocket & chain kits or you can go with Power-Up kits. www.ctsmoto.com . Tell mike you're from the kawasakiforums.

How many miles does a sprocket and chain usually last? I don't ride my bike too particularly hard and I don't do wheelies. Thanks.

I would say you can get between 7-9k if you take care of them by adjusting the chain and making sure you keep the chain lubed up.
