-1 in the front & +2 in the rear. You just missed a groupbuy we did on sprockets & chain kit. You can try calling Chad at the Sprocket Center to see if he can hook you up.

a guy at work who rides an F4i said if i go down 1 and up 2 that i wont be able to keep the front tire down thru 3rd gear.. he said just go up 2 in the rear and leave the front alone.... does that make sence?

He's telling you that the bike will wheelie due to the gearing. He's exaggerating a bit though. You'll be fine with a -1 +2 just get used to it before you go WOT in first gear. What he said only makes sense if you agree with "Why buy a 1000 it's too much power" which is funny to me because I follow the "Never enough power... ever" type of reasoning lol...

Depending on your riding preferences, keeping traction is key. See what happens after you set your suspension? Then play with sprockets.

I went up two in the back and keep the front the same. I have no problem with the front tire comimg off the ground. But if I want it to Believe me it don't take much. Just a quick release of the throttle and then slam it wide open and up she goes. Usally around 10k. With my set up the excel is better and did not lose to much of the top end.
