+1, sounds like a rider's race to me. Just pick the bike that's the best looking in your opinion...also which exhaust setup you prefer (underseat or side) and what color.

I know for a FACT that my 06 636 can pull on the newer 600RR andGSXR 600, 07/08 ZX-6R, and Daytona 675. The Daytona is a harder bike to get around though and they are close to dead nutz on the straights. I am not sure if I have tried to pull an R-6 on the straights or not though.

I also know without a doubt that this bike runs circles around my 06 600RR in every way. Suspension is better in stock form, it pulls harder, and holds a line better. Some may say that this is subjective, but my 06 636 has ONLY been ridden on the track, and that is where I am pulling my facts from.

What does it matter, if it is your dream bike go out and get it. I love my 05 and the only bike I have raced it the F4i and I can beat those without to much trouble.

The 636 is a tough bike to beat by other 600's mainly because or the extra midrange. I'd definitely get the 636. The newer 600's aren't as powerful on the low and mid range like the 636's. You have to rev them higher to launch them from a stop. The R6 sucks on the street.
