Default solo cowl doesnt seem to fit right

like the title says. i just got my brand new solo cowl today, put it together and put it on my bike. it wouldnt lock on easily like the rear seat did, and when it did lock the front end was very tight to the tail ( no gap) and the rear has a much larger gap. is this normal? can it be adjusted? or should i just got back to the dealer tomorrow and get a new one? thanks guys.

Yes, you will probably have to adjust. Get some flat washers and use them as spacers between the cowl & bracket and even out the gap. The seat cowl on my bike had a hard time latching also and flew off at a trackday. It came off and hit the back of my leathers then hit the rear tire and flew into the weeds. I didn't know that it came off; thought something else had hit me. I went looking for it, thinking it would be all messed up, but it just had a little bit of black mark from the tire that wiped right off; just like new.

Just make sure it latches and locks before you take off riding.
