If you lock up your rear brake and get sideways, you should release it gradually until you gain traction and control. Don't just release it at once and don't stay on it. You want to be able to steer the bike with it and if it's locked up, you lose that ability.
Street bikes and Dirt bikes use their front & rear brakes differently and for different purposes and it's a good skill to try and master.

well my buddy whos been working on it fixed it fairly easy. he said the p[revious owner didnt do **** mechanically takin care of it. i guess there was a ton of grease/grim build up that caused this whole problem. what a relief it wasnt a big problem.

Glad you got it fixed! Wouldn't have expected that grease/grime would have caused that. Good that it's back on the road.

I will try to get it running by this weekend. Next Wednesday u want to meet up at Quaker steak? I will give shinobi 36 aka jason a call I think his bike is repaired from the accident. When the lady rear ended him at the light.
