iv talked to someone who had the same set up as mine and he was around 175, which leads me to believe that something is wrong. my fan comes on at 210, the thermostat opens around 150. i was in 100+ and the bike was 220ish. i ran the bike with the cap off and the thermostat open to try and get out any bubbles. not too familiar with how to get out an air bubble, is this the right procedure? i think that there is something clogging some radiator fans/slits or what every there called.

make sure when you open the cap it has to be the highest point in the system, if it is not the air will not come out. Try it on an incline. That is how I always do it with my 4 wheeled vehicles and it is the same theory.

man. i should probably pay more attention to the temp guage. went on weekend ride and mine was pegging past 210-220 in stop and go traffic. cooled way down when i was moving. 168-180.
Does anyone think it would be ok to fish out 6 ounces of coolant/water combo from a stock bike and add 6 ounces of water wetter?

you could do that, water weter is compatable with anitifeeze, but there is really no point. the only reason i have water weter is for the track. the temps you are running are normal from what i have found out. mine has been running 200-210 moving, 215-225 stop and go. the shop called back and said the bike runs fine, so who knows. im going to ride it and if its not around 170-190 moving im taking it back. i hate this crap!

well they did nothing to the bike, but the temp where is should be now. go figure. i know that it was running hot though because my front right euro light was not working. so i took out the bulb and the glass portion had melted out of the tin housing! So I guess the case is closed. Must have been a bubble. i think? ha
