Default reccomended tire pressure?

i recently picked up a used 04 636 w/metzler tires. the rear tire read at 41psi and the front read at 25psi or so. i looked at the service manual and it reccomended 42psi in the rear and 36psi in the front. i went ahead and did that but i don't know if it's just me but it feels way too over inflated. i filled them up while they were cold. what would you guys suggest?

I run 34 front 36 rear. It also depends on where and how you ride. I run the pressure Notstock suggested for trackdays.

that seems a bit more normal, it's similar to what i used to run on my ninja500. i'll try that out tonight, thanks =)

oh and as far as what kinda riding i do, i use it to get to school and then at night i go out riding with friends like a maniac in the turns and slow down in straightaways lol. hopefully this combo works better b/c i'm not feeling it at all right now with what it's set at.

I recommend ditching the metzlers and get some good tires.

How many miles on them? 36/36 works for me.

You have to try different presures. I can always spot the foo ridding down the road with overinflated tires, they have a nice big flat wear spot in the middle.

Just start at around 36 and drop a lb on each until you find a presure that works good for you. I ran that 31/30 or 32/30 for years on the street. Dunlopes and Pilot Powers.

That's not even recommended pressure for Met'z on the track and is stupid to run that on the street. Best bet is 36/36 on the street...... Start running track pressures and all you are doing is causing premature wear....
