Rear Suspension adjustment

RE: Rear Suspension adjustment
The only problems that I have encountered with spanner wrenches is the lack of room. Tire is in the way, or the hugger, etc. My 06 10r does not include the spanner in the kit either. Plus my stock shock only had preload adjustments and no ride height adjustments. But shims are available for raising the ride height.

RE: Rear Suspension adjustment
your not really going to be able to raise the rear of the bike by adjusting the rear shock. At best when you get the on the bike the shock wont compress as much and i guess in a way keeping the rear higher. remember stiffer isn't always better. You should try to adjust it correctly. Check the sag. how much the shock compresses when your on it. If you can get a friend to hold the bike while your on it and jump up and own on the bike a bit to make sure the front and rear are set correctly. you don't want to have the bound and rebound all messed up from the front to rear of the bike. The whole bike should squat and raise at the same rate.

RE: Rear Suspension adjustment
First set-up you suspension then set you ride height. Go to www.Ohlins.com or www.Sportrider.comfor articles on suspension setup. To set ride height after suspension set-up, you can use the shims to adjust it between the top shock mount and frame. You can use auto wheel alignment shims available at the parts store.
