Rear Shock Preload

Rear Shock Preload
Ok, so I'm softening up the preload on my rear shock in an effort to lower the bike as far as possible without using a lowering kit. Well I achieved just that. The bike is at the right height now. The problem is that according to the Kawasaki Spec sheet, I'm way out of acceptable preload range. The spec sheet says that the shock preload can be anywhere between 6.996 in and 7.390 in. I'm more around 7.6 inches. So my question is this... what happens if you have too soft of preload on the rear shock. According to the afformented spec sheet, the more length, the better the road has to be and the lower your speed should be. So what happens if I'm cruising down I-95 at 145mph and my preload is too soft? Thanks.
P.S. Practical anwers only please. I don't need to be lectured more on how unsafe it is to be going 145 on an interstate, much less suspension settings, lol.

RE: Rear Shock Preload
your *** end will be to squishy, when you go into a turn the rear will want to wash on you. if you lower the rear you need to lower the front too. i bet your bike handles like crap now. spend the hundy on the links and do it right. youll loose some cornering abilities but at least the bike will be stable at speed and you can handle turns alot safer. if its the install that getting you, check the frapper map, im sure theres a member in your area that can help you do it. best of luck and ride safe.
