Default question

I want to get a slip on for my bike. Am I supposed to wait until I've broken it in all the way? And is the stock air filter good enough on a 2006? Thanks, and thanks for the replies on my last post

as far as the filter, i wonder myself. a slip on is just a can replacement so i dont think it would really make a difference, at least i hope not, mine will be here tomarrow and im putting it on and only have 75 miles on my bike, havent even had it for 2 weeks.

There is a guy in Longwood who specializes in building Kawi's and he told my husband not to waste money on getting an aftermarket air filter if we were only gonna get a slip on for it. I don't think you'll have any problems putting a slip-on on before break in is over.

Which exhaust are you getting? I ordered this one, but it's still on backorder. I can't wait to get it on.

I like the way the two brothers looks...but it soooo expensive. You could get a full system for the price they want for a two bros slip-on.

CMK,

You Big Balla!! That carbon finish with the carbon end is sweet. I would have liked to get it but it was way out of my budget. How much did you pay?

I got it for $440 shipped from indysuperbikes.com. That was the cheapest I could find it anywhere. I was gonna get the SS one, but the carbon tip just looked too awesome to pass up.

I have the same one in titanium. It matches the flat look of my bike too. And the Yoshi sounds sweet. I love it. I will post some new pics of my bike as soon as I get my new windscreen on.

Check directly with Yoshimura, but I heard from a reliable source that the company Yoshi. uses for its carbonfiber went out of business. You might be waiting for that pipe for a long while.
