Putting on Frame Sliders

should i use a impact driver to put on my frame sliders or will just a allen key do also where do i find the torque values to tighten bolts i didnt see them in my manual

no way you'd want to use an impact driver for that - impact guns are for really high torque applications like lug nuts and frame bolts where the torque is around 100ftlb

frame sliders are probably in the inch-pound range

DO NOT USE A IMPACT WRENCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!torque them to about 31 ft.lbs.

Why would you use an impact wrench for that? Even lazier than I am!

Welcome to the forum. An allen and/ or hexsocket and a torque wrench because it's going into the engine case/ mount and made from aluminum. Don't wan to overtorque it which can cause it to strip or mounts to crack. Check the manual for proper torque. Check the DIY section; I think there is a How To post there.

noone meant any harm you need a torque wrench and allen head socket just like speedracer stated, the torque specs may vary depending on the bike .You can get a torque wrench fairly cheap unless you know someone who does some mechanic work .You can get them at Walmart or any parts store

i know noone meant any harmbut you see itin threads all the time where instead of giving advice ppl try to make the op seem like an idiot but thanx for the help i bought a torque wrench 2day i figured thats what u would needhopefully i'llget them on 2morrowthanks for the help again
