Hey, I did a quick search but didn't really find anything in specific for this so sorry if its a repost..

I was just wondering is the PCIII unit itself basically universal and then you download specific maps for each bike? Or is lets say for example, the PCIII for a 2005-06 636 different from that for a ZX-10, or even a Suzuki, Yam, etc.. ?

Yep, each one is made for a particular make, model and year. They could have made them universal and had different harnesses for each although I'm assuming. Maybe the circuit boards & software are different on each type. Who knows? Dynojet.

ahh alright.. Thanks guys, i was just hoping because its so much easier and cheaper to get a used PC for other bikes rather than an 05-06 636. I don't have a lot of money for this stuff so I'd like to go used whenever possible, and its hard to find used stuff (aftermarket) for this particular bike, as you guys are probably already aware. Oh well.. thanks.

ahh thanks, but not interested at the moment... I was just curious about this stuff so maybe i can pick something up during the winter if i see something available. Going to save some cash for now though, hopefully next year! Thx.
