usally dirt bikes are alot easier to get it up... can you get your hands on a dirt bike and first practice riding wheelies then when you become comfortable with it you can work your way up to your bike... this also subtracts the part that when you fall you wont mess your bike up

It feels like its got that front heavy lean forward... but trust me if you pop that clutch just right it will launch... I did it and panic'd the first time lettin' throttle down but if you don't panic you can keep it up.

sprocketrocket is right, try to clutch wheelie on a small dirtbike at first. they are basically meant to be thrashed. Or you could watch this video and follow these great instructions on how to do it and progress SLOWLY and not try to impress friends or whatever because that is a recipe for disaster http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...91590638402466 . i almost looped my 98 zx6r infront of a bunch of friends...not cool. and for doing stoppies at intersections....a HUGE no no. a bit of oil on the road, grit or gravel and u slide into traffic on ur face. not a good scene either. i have an 07 and i can clutch it up in 2nd at 70mph (standing up) with stock gearing,NO problem. when i'm doing clutch wheelies in first gear i get the bike up to about 30mph and give a LITTLE bit of gas and pull in the clutch just enough so the rpm's go up and then let it go quickly (using one or two fingers on the clutch). as you get more comfortable u can go higher, make sure to cover your rear brake because if it starts to go over u can hit the brake and bring it down. it will come down really hard but it's better than sliding on ur a$$ down the road. it also may feel like you are going to flip over, but unless you are looking directly at your gas cap, you're not even close. it's a crazy feeling and alot of fun, just be safe gear up and try it slow in big parking lots. good luck, hope this novel i wrote helps lol.

here's me on my 98 the first year i had it, after a month or so of trying to wheelie. u can hear it rev up before i dump the clutch. u can also see that i'm still looking over the windscreen and how low of an angle i am actually on. back then it felt like i was gonna flip lol. i don't have any other vids yet. oh, and this is on a closed road as well. no traffic to worry about and no cops either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G87u9_9wIFs
