Im looking to replace my rear tire . I have a 2006 kawasaki ZX636R that come with a 180/55ZR17. Im wondering if I can fit a 190/50ZR17 on the stock swing arm. Please help and reply with insight. Thank you

You can go one size up on the tire, but here is the question....Do you want to slow down your bikes geometry for this tire change?

Thanks for the reply. I thought you could go one size up but, was not sure. The bike is pretty fast as it is well, fast enough for me that is. I guess my bigest concern is the speed calibration. Im sure there can't be that much of a difference, maybe a few miles off. Thanks again

stick with the 180...you will lose cornering capabilities...

hahaha, but wouldn't the 190/55 series work if you moved up the rear hugger? The 6r has the 6 inch rear rim or the 5.5?

i THINK you may be after a wider tire look going to the 190. i might be wrong, but if u put a 190 on your rim it will actually increase the diameter of the tire and actually making it look taller instead of flatter and wider. i could be wrong, but the 180 is still wider than most 4 cylinder car tires out there lol.
