RE: pair mod
The reason for routing the smog this way, I was told from an inside source that it works better routing the crank to the valve cover, Im going to the dyno soon to find out which is better, nice to finally see a good response to this thread! Good luck everyone! let me know which is working better for you guys, however my bike runs great this way...

Re: The Pair mod: Plugging the airbox sound logical but dont plug the crankcase breather or it may pressurize due to the hear expansion and blowby and blow a gasket or seal. You can install a small crancase filter on the end of the hose as mentioned earlier.

thats awesome. We run a dyno at our shop. Best results I have seen is the crankcase to the pair valve, and put a rubber cap plug in both spots on the airbox.

Speed, when the hose is ran to the valve cover you dont plug the valve cover ports, the excess air from the crank can then escape the crankase and go through the valve cover ports instead of having fresh air, its crank fumes, and the crank isnt as pressurized, I believe, and may free up a little quicker rev.

hey Tora, i did mine today and i rode it to work did really get over 60mph or so (traffic) but took some back roads home and ya it does seem to spin up quicker! No oil light or nothin..Sweet.maybe thursday night when we all go ride i'll really be able tofeel the difference.

Actually, routing the crankcase vent to the airbox doesn't make any sense especially with the Ram Air effect. The way you guys did it make better sense and it will burn the oil vapors buy sucking them in the exhaust. Maybe you'll see a very slight gain in HP on the Dyno (.1-.4 HP) but I don't believe it will be 2 whole HPand I can't say for certain. The pistons fighting a little pressurized air at those RPM's can make a difference. We will be taking the racebikes to the dyno soon so I'll have to do the mod and see if there is adifference. I'll be impressed. We just stuck Race Cams inthe bikes also. Hoping to top 120.1 HP!
