119 isn't high. My fan comes on and I've had temps up to 228-230 then it comes down due to the fan coming on. When the fan comes on it makes a humming kind of noise. Mine fan wont come on untill like 210-230 range. I had the Hi temp flash on me once when I turned the bike off and kept the key in. The temp thing read 240. As soon as I turned the bike on again it jumped down to 220.

check to see if the fuse is out. I honostly don't know if our bikes have fuses for the fans, I'm just assuming because it makes sense electric fans usually have fuses[8D]. I had a similar problem with an previous car and it was the fuse.

since you got a warranty let the "experts" deal with it. dont wanna blow a head gasket and they blame it on youand trynot tocover none of the damage. happend to a person i know of.

umm i would check the fuse. maybe you have a bad temp sensor or relay that's causing the problem . if you can tell i'm brain storming here.I know my fan doesn't start intill 212 and stops at 210. just don't understand why the high temp light is coming on.

I meant 119 celcius which is way hott, i looked in my manual and it says it should come on at about 90c and it doesnt. I also tested it w/ a external batt source from the temp sensor and it still doesnt come on which i believe runs direct to the fan. So Im thinkin its a bad fan motor, but I talked to the place I got it, they said to bring it in monday, so well see wat happens.

119 degree Celsius = 246.2 degree Fahrenheit
Yeah, that's too hot! I would probably just replace the fan, it can't be that expensive. Afterwards, check the coolant level and maybe run some "water wetter" or "engine ice" mixed with the coolant.

Check your fan switch or connector for voltage first before just replacing the fan. Maybe the connector is off or has a bad contact. The fan switch may be bad or disconnected also.
