WOOOOHOOOOO! We won our class inthe CMRA 6 Hour endurance race at Texas World Speedway this past weekend: 1st in our class and 2nd overall for the whole year. This was the last race of the CMRA season and the team had been riding an 06 636 for all but the last race. The 07 ZX6R was used for the Finale and the bike proved itself exceptionally well; speed and endurance wise. The riders loved the handling and speed of the 07 ZX6R better than the 06 636. The bike was the fastest on the track in the beginning of the race and we had a comfortable lead advantage until the Red Flag came out, then it started all over again. The riders, Gabe McClendon & Andy Galindo set some of their personal best& fastest laptimes on the 07 ZX6R. The bike had incredible top speeds on the front banking and stayed aheadand/orkept up with thebigger bikes (750's & 1000's). Anyway we ended up finishing second overall on Saturdayand in the overall points also but First in our class. We were short only 6 points of winning the overall title. The Team that beat us had riders just as fast as our team and theywere riding an 07ZX10R! The new 07 ZX6R isVERY FAST!!

btw speed, I saw you just missed those custom made rear sets on e-bay by a few bucks last week. I was watching till the end but didn't get a bid in at the last minute.

 

Thanks, I had a great time wrenching on the bikes to extract maximum performance from it. I think there's a fewmore horsepower that I can get out of it.Re: rearsets, Yeah, I'll probably just buy the set of Vortex Copiesoff ebay for $200.

 

Sounds like so much fun. My friend might be getting his license soon, he's been putting some serious track time in. Really like to help him wrench and see what goes on. I'll wait till spring for my first track day.

re: I thought I could pick them up real cheap and in the last minute I couldn't even get a bid in. Probably buy the same this winter after the exhaust. Later on Speed......
