Opinion on pricing 636
Hi
I sold my Honda VTR 1000 Superhawk and I am interested in purchasing a 2005 636 from a dealer.
The bike has 7000 miles and has a salvage title for theft recovery, well thats what he said.
His asking price is 5,495
From the pictures the bike looks to be in perfect condition the salesman said that the bike is in "perfect condition" ( of course it is .... lol ) anyway he also said I get a 60 day unlimited mile warrantee against any mechanical problems.
I looked up values and Low retail would be $5140 and average retail is $6760
I plan to go to the dealership tomorrow and test the bike, if I like it what should I offer?
$4500 out the door ? This is from a dealer not a private party. I plan to pay $1500 cash and put the rest on credit card.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated as I hope to be a part of the Kawasaki community tomorrow =D
Thanks in advance...

RE: Opinion on pricing 636
$4000 tops!
That is a good amount of miles for a 3 yr old bike and make sure you check with your state about registering a salvage title. Some states make it near impossible to register anything with a rebuilt or salvage title.

That's too much for a salvage titled bike. The retail value ou looked up is for a clean title bike. Look on ebay for prices. You can get a clean title 636 for that price or less. I've been watching the prices too because I may be selling the one I'm building.
