Nice Garage Notstock; wish I had that much space and neatness. The bikes are nicer!

I must have misunderstood, I thought he wanted to lift the front with a tube through only one of the forks.

Either way, I still don't like lifting a bike under the forks.

The one that evil should a picture of is the best imo, but lifting from the forks is secure and causes no damage. The stand is at least 1/3 the cost and if you are not removing the forks it's a luxury imo.
Its all personal opinion again.

most front stands lift the bike from the bottom of the forks, inbetween the pinch bolts. using a rod to go through the axel to lift it for storage isn't any different
