Default Oil

Hey, I was wondering what brand of oil you folks use in your bikes? I recently wrecked my bike (06' 636), which took out the stator cover and had all my oil come pooring out of my bike... heh, and onto the street. I'm going with a synthetic (10W40), but I was wondering if there's some amazing brand out there from Kawasaki or something?

Valvoline 10/40W Synthetic or Mobil1 for me. They're all good as long as you change them in time. Some are better. Amzoil rated very good & so did Maxima oils. Do your research & read the tests/ comparisons. Royal Purple is good also. It all comes down to personal preference in the end.

i like the mobil one, but its like 10. to 14. bucks a quart depending on the place you buy.. pretty expensive oil change. i went with honda racing oil this time, cause it was available at the dealership i was at, never again. my bike has been clunky even since i freshly changed it.. i was running the castrol actevo (i think its semi synthetic) its a great oil, the bike is so smooth when you change it out and stays that way for about 2 grand, then you feel the clunk come back and you know its getting time to change again. (all depending on how you ride of course) the castrol actevo is 18. bucks for the 4 quart jug.. not bad.

I run the mobil 1 myself also. No probs at all. Out of all the oils I have tried, Mobil gives me the smoothest clutch, and lasts about 2,000 miles between changes.

I started a thread a while ago on this. A simple search would save this board a ton of bandwidth.
