Ninja Zx-6R 06' Brake Lines
I just installed some Galfer brake lines, but I cant get my brake lever to tighten up, I have used a pump to run the fluid through the lines but still my lever is loose... Same in the rear. Please help any info would be sweet!

Welcome to the forum. You will have to take your brake assembly off the handlebars and rotate them around to try and get the bubbles trapped in the banjo bolts & lines. Do that with the calipers also. Try tapping the lines with a soft plastic tool like a screwdriver handle. You can also crossdrill the banjo bolt holes so there's 2 holes across from each other to help trapped air escape. It may take some bleeding to get all the air out.

fill it up and bleed the master, then the farther line and then the closer one. check to see that the crush washers are seated because i had a hell of a time getting mine to seat. but it shouldnt be that big of a deal. youll see the bleed nut on the master.

Bleed it then ride and bleed again. The vibrations and bumps will work the air bubles to the top of each component; M/cyl, caliper. Mine get spongy when it gets hot but firm in the cold. I have a set of Galfer lines sitting waiting to be installed. I will cross drill my banjo bolts also.

i have never heard of doing it that way. make sure you leave enough room to have to pump the brakes if need be.

Well you try and get as much of the air out as possible, but some microscopic air bubbles will still be trapped in there and will eventually work its way to the top as you ride. Sometimes bleeding brakes are a pain in the A$$.

heard that man i think i did mine a good 12 times when i swapped the lines. and 2 sets of crush washers but once the washers seated it was easy to use the pump and only took about 10 minutes to do the entire bike.
