Ninja ZX-6 E. Is there such a thing?
So, I just bought my first bike, and I’m so exited that I think I might be a good candidate for experimental horse tranquilizers. I’m a little confused however. It’s a ’97, and the guy who sold it to me said it’s the ZX-6 E model. Is there such a thing? All I see here is the R and RR models, and I haven’t seen the E model mentioned anywhere else either. Is there any way to check what it really is? I have the manual and I found nothing there. I feel like my bike is adopted and it never knew who its real parents are. Thanks guys!

The 1990 to 1993 model ZX-6's were ZX-6D1 through ZX-6D4. The number after the letter is just a numerical value that goes up with every year. When there is a major change like the ram air in 1994 they change the letter, that is when they started the ZX-6E.
This is not the same bike as the ZX-6R and RR. The ZX-6's are sport tourers whereas the ZX-6R's (636cc) are super sport bikes and the RR (599cc) was made so they could race in the AMA 600cc class.
My first bike was a 91 ZX-6, that is a perfect starter bike. I loved the dual exhaust and center stand.
