newbie to forum and the zx6r
hey guys. just got my 6r yesterday as a really nice birthday present to myself lol. it is a 2004 with 11,500 miles. it is my second bike and im loving this one. i came from a cbr600 f3. riding position is definitely different than the f3 but im loving the handling and the extreme weight reduction im feeling. power is nice too. im looking forward to learning lots about this bike and riding the crap out of it . one quick question though, will a 6rr power commander fit a 6r?. a friend of a friend has one for sale but dont know if its compatible. here's a quick pic from my fone

I checked out the PC web site and there is two different part #'s. Might be the same brain but different harness. Contact there customer service department. And welcome to the forum and sick bike bro.

i read somewhere that these bikes have a shift light. is it true? how do i set it?
oh and thanx for all the compliments. this bike is so smooth compared to my f3. the rear brake pedal seems to be really far down though and im having a little bit of a hard time catching neutral lol.
edit: another thing popped up to my head. the bike has a ohlins (sp?) damper. how many clicks adjustability does it have? i was playing with it a little yesterday and on the highway it was a little difficult to switch lanes. scared me at first. i set it really soft after that but i would like to start experimenting with it slowly to get the best use out of it. thanx again.

The PCIII for the 03-04 636 are the same part number: 207-411. P.M. me, I have one for sale already mapped for a Slip-On and filter. It has a Custom FBF (Fast by Ferrachi) map on it and made my bike run great!
These bike are very hard to get into neutral while the bike is still moving. It almost had to come to a stop to get into neutral which is a safety feature to prevent that from happening while you're riding hard or racing.
If the rear pedal goes too far down before they start working, you may need to bleed your brakes.
