Default Newb with a few ?'s

hey guys im new here and will probably get flamed for asking but, in the next month or so I will be buying a bike. Ive ridden before if your asking yourself. I can afford a brand new 07 zx-6r but my question is what are the main differences between an 05,06, and 07. I could save some money get and 05 and mod it, or do the 06 07s outperform anyways stock. just looking for some feedback. Also what are some of the best prices you guys have gotten on your 07's? location and dealership please

thanks in advance!

The 07 has outstanding handling, brakes, slipper clutchright out of the box. It is designed as more of a track day bike than daily rider.

On the street it suffers from a weak bottom end but nothing a -1 +2 cannot fix.

What do you plan on running a 6 for? Track, street?

If for the street, get an 06 636. Some of the dealers should have them left and you may get a great deal on it. The 636 is a much better street bike. Makes a great trackday bike too! The 07 is high strung to be able to compete/ beat the R6 & the other 600's at the track.

speedracer....it is not that high strung looking at the numbers (and of course some reviews) compared to the R6.

Yeah, I'm just comparing it to the R6 & the reviews. The Honda rated very well; this year anyway. But like rraiderr said; gearing can take care of a lot. There is also exhaust, kit ECU, PCIII, cam timing etc. It's a screamer though.

First of all welcome. I only know about my 05 636 and it's more than I can handel. Will never ride it to it's for potential...atleast for now. Don't worry about the engine mods. Just get used to it and go from there. You'll spend alot of cash so maybe go a year or two olderon left overs. The 08's should becoming in a month or two I think.

i will be using it just for street... so wats the verdict? im still in between. and also if a dealer still had an 06 sitting on the lot shouldnt i be worried. Like you wouldnt buy a last years model car nearly 1.5 yrs after it was produced if it was still sitting on the lot, can cause damage never being run. i hope that was english lol
