new LED tail light help
HelpI got a new LED integrated tail for my 03
636 but I can't get the old one out, do I need to remove the tail fairing?
or is there a "trick " to it?
I tried going onto the Kawi website to bring up the parts diagram but I get nothing

RE: new LED tail light help
Have you tried a hammer? That usually coaxes difficult to remove parts to come out of hiding. But in all seriousness, I don't think you have to remove the bodywork, but I can't be sure.

RE: new LED tail light help
I just had my undertail off recently, and I'm almost 100% sure you do have to remove the entire rear fairing section to get the LEDs out... It isn't that hard, you just have to deal with like eight or ten of those damn plastic popping locking pieces of crap...
speaking of which, does anyone happen to know any tricks to get those off? I just use my finger to pop the inside out and then pry the outside off with something that won't scratch the paint... but that inner peice is so damn sharp and it digs into my skin, and really makes me not want to do anything to my bike... any advise?

RE: new LED tail light help
Thanks all
I got it shortly after posting this.
You do need to take off your tail fairing and the tail light screws into the bottom of your tail ( tail eliminator or mudflap )
those lil plastic pieces actually have a "button" in the middle. If you push in on them with a small phillips head they release and come right out. It was quite easy once I got those off.
