New to Kawi's - need a little help
Hey guys,
All I've ever owned are Gixxers (I still have my '02 1K) but I just picked up an '06 600 to put on the track and it's all stock. I was wondering if you guys that are veteran Kawi owners could give me some advice on what would be a good slip-on exhaust (loud and a few extra ponies) to put on this thing, and any other tips and "must-do" mods. Thanks for the help.

For a track bike, I think the muzzy is one of the more wide open exhaust and the one the Kawi race bikes use. I would also remove any weight possible and get the programmable race ecu. These bikes don't need much for power. I would concentrate more on suspension and brakes like some Ohlins forks and rear shock, steering stabilizer and some EBC brake pads.
Any pics of the bike?

The "paperclip trick" or so as it is referred to here is the ECU jumper mod. Here is a link to another thread with a link to how to do it in my post.
The Akrapovic sounds really great on these machines, I think the Muzzy adds more power but I am not sure.

I say the Akrapovic is louder but that doesn't mean much. Do a search on youtube and you should find a few videos of each pipe on some Ninja's.
