welcome and hope you love this world, you will find more help here than anywhere.

it really depends on what you want to do, if it is just for commuting then stay away from the zx modles, or at least the newer ones. the ZZR is an incredable bike and is priced very decent for a new bike. the more upright seating position will do the highway justice. however, if you are going to try to actually ride, canyon carving or race days then go with the zx you will never look back.

most importantly, test ride one DO YOUR RESEARCH, i looked at literally hundreds of bike befre i found the perfect ZX636, if a dealer wont let you test ride then you dont want to deal with them go elsewere!!!

Hello! I'm new to this site but have been riding for about 10 years. All I can say is that it depends on what you want to do. Bikes are not one size fits all. If you are going to be doing speed limit and wont be racing or doing anything that demands lots of performance then do not get a zx. And for a fist bike I wouldn't recomed a supersport at all. Go with a cruiser with a smaller engine. You will get better mileage that way too. ZX gets around 45 mpg if you take it easy. A 750 cruiser will get you about 55, plus it's much more comfortable. You have to build muscle to comfortably ride a super sport for more than ten min. Insurance is also cheaper on a cruiser than a sport. I'm 27, married with a kid and my supersport insurance with State Farm in Oregon is 45, on my cruiser it's 12.

Yeah, 45 and 12 are full coverage. Plus I have uninsured motorist 300,000 in medical and all the other bells and wistles. Statefarm is pretty good about not giving you the run around when it comes to claims. My R6 got droped in the parking lot and within a week or two I had a check for 2,500 for repairs and when it got stolen they paid it off in about four weeks. It's not worth having liability only on something that cost six to eight thousand dollars and can be stolen so easily!
