Default Need some help with my brakes please!

Hey guys, It's my first post on this forum but I've been riding an '06 636 for a couple of months now.. I just recently put a new front and rear tire on, But i know for sure my brakes need to be replaced. The thing is I'm indeffinetly going to replace the pads, but my rotors is my question. They have tiny scores in them (grooves), should I sand them down or buy new ones? I'm not sure when the man I bought the bike from had them serviced last. I feel more comfortable just buying new ones, so if I go that route are Galfer wave rotrs a good choice?

Thanks for the help guys!
-Mike

can you post a pic of the rotors ? galfers are a good choice, if you have the money. if not, look on e bay, you can get a set of stock ones in excelent condition for around a hundred bucks.

Tiny grooves & scores are normal on rotors unless they are very deep; enough to sink or catch a fingernail. I'd say they are normal as long as there isn't sand or something stuck between the pads & rotor. Post up some pics and we can tell.

they arent like DEEP but i feel my fingernail go in and out of them when i run it across, it doesnt like catch and stay in.. I work on cars but im completely oblivious to the thresh hold of parts on a bike haha
