Hey everyone im new to the forums. my name is josh and i have a 2001 zx6r. here's the situation...im the kind of person that lets some people ride my bike and i let the wrong person ride it and he dumped it all on the right side of the bikei got qoutes and theres about 2500.00's worth of damage front and side fairings scraped, akrapovic exhuast ruined corbin seat scraped. mirrors gone frame slider gone and flushmount turn signal gone. now do i go through my insurance company or do i make him give me cash. and after i get it all fixed do i sell it and try to make a lil money cuz it will be in a like new condition??? please help!!

Let your bud repair the ride for you since you thought him capable of riding it. Just my thoughts

no go through insurance, he wont pay in one lump sum like the insurance will so it will take you forever to get the bike back together if he pays 10 bucks at a time, and also you shouldent need to sell it if the bike is repaired correctly, if it is done right, the only reason to sell it is because you are ready for something else.

another option is to ask him if he wants to buy the bike for the value it was before the wreck and then he might just have it fixed himself.

i only look from that point because i was in the same boat. i just ended up going with insurance and calling it a write off. ohh well, now i know better
