Default My new 09 ZX6R

Called the dealership yesterday morning to see if they knew more or less when the new zx6s were going to be in. They said they had one in stock!

Got off work and went and picked it up! My last bike was a ninja 500. This bike is actually 13 lbs lighter than my 500, but it feels about 100 lbs lighter! It seems like its much easier to ride as well. This bike rides so damn smooth. The only other 2 bikes I've ever rode was a 03 636 and an 01 r6 and this one really just takes the cake on how much more response you get and it seems a lot more driveable...for lack of a better term. Now I just have to wait for the damn break in period to be done with! Here it is last night.

Now I'm going to have to get a power commander, akropovic full exhaust, fender eliminator, seat cowl, tank pad and grips, and wheel stripes and ill be set!

I took it through a couple of twisties today, nothing too much. New tires, new bike, wet roads, and cold weather isnt exactly a great combination for dragging knees. Even still, I cant believe how easy this thing is to flip from side to side. Just cant believe how nimble this thing is and how smooth the engine is. I've been keeping it under 6k for the most part. Taking it up to 8k every once in a while, and up to 10k about twice in the first 60 miles.

Here's some better pics of before I went on my ride today...it was in the low 50s...semi-cold.

They dont come with seat cowls...I asked that as well. In the pictures on kawi's site, the green one has a seat cowl in 1 pic, but thats it.

I'm def. getting rid of the license plate holder as soon as someone makes some blinkers I can put back there in its place.

You would think as much as you just spent they would throw you a freebie. How's the exhaust sound? and what tires came on it this year? Definatley like the blue, bet it pops in the sun!

The exhaust is really tame until about 8-10 grand. I dont want to take it above that just yet though. The tires are bridgestone battleaxes

They didnt have any seat cowls there. I guess the only one that comes with one is the green one...but I wanted the blue. Wish they would come stock with it...kind of blows.

No sun here yet! Its been overcast for the last couple weeks.

Well, I might be having a problem now. I was driving it around to my shed and I started to hear this odd noise. When I rev my bike and let off, I can hear something bouncing around...something extremely small, like shaking a dune bug in a glass bottle or something...but its got me scared. My last bike had engine problems...all I need now is for my brand new one to have problems...its under warranty but crap...
