Yeah, I'm more mechanical but would love to learn to weld; especially aluminum. I have all these ideas in my head. I also want to learn some machining on a lathe or CNC mill. Maybe I'll take some classes. I even have an old TIG welder in my garage but it needs a couple of parts. The guy who welded the frame did an awesome job. The bike is almost together; rolling chassis with motor, harness, tank but just found out the subframe is slightly bent down at the very back so the tail fairing won't mount correctly. As soon ad I get that straightened, she'll be going together all the way.

Maybe I'll fix the TIG welder and practice on something.

 

When I sold it, it was almost all back to stock except for the cams & Slip-On. I put the stock 03 wheels, brakes, suspension & swingarm on it. I got $4500 for it stock with 20,000 miles. With all the extras I was only asking an extra $700 but no-one wanted to pay that so I sold the extras separately for over $1200. The buyer is really happy and so am I as far as what got for it. He keeps the bike in one of the rooms in the house! Now that's taking care of it.

 

hell i would have def paid 700 for the extras, they made that bike and without them it was just a plain old 03 lol no offence.

i would keep my bike in the house but my wife said " the bike or her in the house and if she had to go outside she wouldent wiat there like the bike would" lol harsh
