you guys are lucky to have a light.

my 95 is just a tap the tank and guess and if it starts to stumble then quickly switch over to the reserve and find a gas station. i had to switch over to reserve on my way up a large bridge on my way to work this morning. stalling out on a very tall "scenic" bridge with no shoulder and one lane each way is not my idea of fun.

Same here average 41 mpg and without interstate riding. 05 636 I have. Looks like I'm holding it a little more wide open than you speed!
I don't go fast anymore. My username should be Volvodriver138 instead. I'll leave the Speeding to you young people. I'm over the hill now.[8D]Downhill and picking up speed!

I wouldn't call it thrashing, maybe beating the peese out of it in a semi- controlled eviroment! stop, go, stop pin it, go pin it, stop rev it, take off slow then pin and tuck ect!

I dont wail on it THAT bad... in fact I think i have only seen the shift limiter light one time the entire 1600 miles I have on it. And well, I don't take off like a grandma and her 78' cutlass, but I dont leave every light like a bat out of hell either. I dont neccesarily try to go for the best fuel economy either though. 33-35mpg is still more than twice as good as I can get being the nicest possible driver in my gas-hogging SUV. :P Still I wish my range were a little better I guess I will just stop and chat with the locals more often when going on a trip.
