hey guys. i was just wondering how many miles u get on a full tank? i used to get around 150 when i first started riding but now i get 110-120 on a full tank..i dunno if its me riding more aggressively than when i first started riding...

 

i think it's just you riding more agressive..i've never hit 150 without the light going on. my gas light usually goes on around 120-30.

 

I don't have the 6r, but 120-130 miles to the tank seems reasonable on hard riding. My 10r with only a couple of 180mph bursts, the light would come on at around 120 miles.

 

It probably has more to do with the fact that you don't fear opening up the throttle like you used to. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to check your air filter and see what it looks like. A dirty air filter will rob gas mileage. When's the last time you changed the oil? That can have a lot to do with it as well. Also, check your spark plugs. It sounds to me like your bike is fine, but if it's something you are concerned about, give your bike some simple maintenance, and you'll have that peace of mind.

 

alright sounds good guys. i think my air filter may be a bit dirty...when icrashed the bike about a month ago my bike flew into a tree line where it had alot of dirt..? haha gonna have it checked out...got a maintanence package for 5 free maintenances when i purchased the bike so..no money from me =).

 

I get about 160-170 miles on my 03 636before my light comes on. Averages 42 MPG.

 

Same here average 41 mpg and without interstate riding. 05 636 I have. Looks like I'm holding it a little more wide open than you speed!

yeah i guess it does make your bike run rich, i've noticed that my bike smells rich with the pc3. i might do velocity stacks then get it dyno tuned *shrugs*
