RE: Lowering your bike?
Lowering your bike is good for dragracing and top speed runs, but it will greatly reduce your turning ability, the complete geometry of the bike and cut your lean angle by quite a bit since your fairings and exhaust is closer to the ground. Don't do it unless you are dragging or really need a lower seat height.

RE: Lowering your bike?
I agree with eveyone elses response.
I have one thing to add about the 05-06 Models, dont know what year yours is. When I took mine down to the lowest setting on my 3way adjustables, it was damn low. To low. As everyone mentioned above, the handling of the bike was crap!!!! Big time!!! Also, I noticed that when there was a passanger on the bike, the rear suspension bottomed out just with the extra weight not moving. (im 170lbs and passanger was 100) After some looking around I notced that it was acctually the "Piggy-Back" Resivor for the rear shock hitting on the swingarm. Needless to say, no ride that day. I was kinda worried that the body of the shock may crack and I really dont want to have to replace my rear shock.
I ended up raising mine back up to approx 1-1/2in drop #1 due to the lose of handling. The shock situation didnt make me to excited either.
I guess my point is, after you lower it, check all your settings and make sure nothing is binding or hitting anything that could cause damage toyou or your bike.
