i'm curious how much work and how much $ is involved to eliminate the ugly long license plate holder and get an undertail.

i'm also thinking of lowering the bike a bit, what parts do i need to do that? and how much does it cost? can i get it done at the dealers?

 

to remove the crap under the bike is very easy.. 10 min. you could have it done... i believe it's only four bolts... and away it goes... as far as lowering the bike. you would have to have a pro do it... it can't be more then 100 bucks... good luck brother... ride safe...

 

my undertail cost me nothing.... take all that crap off, and if you even wanted to unhook the factory light and you can follow what a few of have done and use a rear peg to mount you plate....

You have to lose the rear fender its the LAW.

 

so is it not by law that we have to have a light shine on the license plate? is there anywhere that sells a replacement to hold up the tag?

 

Yes it is supposed to be lit. If you want to be legal just search for LED plate lights(Yahoo) and there are tons of them. Wiring and mounting is easy.
