yes, the lowers are different and i too read about that but it was prepped differently to make it stick.

Are the lowers the same material as the uppers? I had thought that I read/heard somthing about paint not wanting to stick to the lowers. I could be way off. I would like to have them painted when the rest of it gets painted but don't want to have chips all over teh belly in a year or so...
our friend has a damn good painter and has never had a problem with the lowers chipping...

I think you have to use a special prep/rimer for the plastic.
