Hey guys along the same line i'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust also, It's for my 05 636 I like a deeper sound rather than havin the tin can affect. A slip on would be just fine for me since the bike has more than enough power for my style of riding. I have already ordered a hotbodies undertail kit but from the negative comments i'm gonna have to look at it once it gets here before i decide whether i want to install it or send it back. Either way some advice on a deeper sounding exhaust would be appreciated.

May want to be careful about going too loud. The EPA is already talking to the AMA about cracking down on aftermarket exhausts and having a Loud race pipe on the streets won't help any. A lot of communities are banning loud cars/bikes in their neiborhoods and you wouldn't want that to happen in yours. Personally, I find super loud bikes obnoxious ; like the Harleys with open cut pipes(Unless they're on the track). They're the main reason this is happening. They banned all motorcycles from riding on the 17 mile drive in Monterey, California due to this. They wouldn't even let me go on it with a stock 84 KZ700 which was very quiet.

Why don't you take a look at the Micron Ultralite GP series? It's an all titanium slip on that is supposedly the smallest and lightest slip-on (according to Micron anyway) made for the bike. I've only seen pics of it, but it looks to be about 1/2 the size of a regular slip-on can and should sound mean. I ordered one for my 06 Ninja and will post a review with pics and hopefully a link with sounds when I get the pipe.

i agree, the bikes that loud are doing nothing but causing problems for everyone that rides...... i got the micron dual tip slip on, and its not loud, but a good sounding pipe, good quality, and comes w the fi light fix now.

If the cats are gutted will it trigger the FI light to go on?
