I have about a half an inch or maybe a little more play in my throttle before it actually picks up. I'm a new rider, and have only had the bike a couple weeks, but when i first got it it was tight as can be, instant pick up. I ride a 2002 ninja zx6r. How would i go about tightening the throttle so it doesnt lag when i gas it?
thanks

Hmm, well I don't know about half an inch of play. That sounds like almost a third of an entire rotation of the throttle. I believe my 06 zx6r is spec'd between 1/16in and 1/8in of play. I mean half an inch and I'm at least around 50% throttle. Anyone else have some thoughts on this?

I barely have any play or the minimum. This way there is no lag in response when you open the throttle. Adjust it until the play is almost gone and make sure the throttles are fully closing when done. Make sure the idle doesn't rise from the cable adjustment. This should only be done by the idle adjustment ****.
