Means to get a little wear on them before you start pushing them to there limits, fresh tires are very slippery until they start to wear. Some, like evil has suggested, use a fine grit sand paper to get the shine or smoothness off the new tires.

Ah, ok, thanks. I was told by the stealer that the tires should not be pushed to their limits for the first 100 miles so that the slippery film could wear off... which made me wonder, if I don't push the tire to it's limit, then how will the film on the limits of the tire be worn off? Your idea make a lot more sense. Thanks.
