Default Locked Front Wheel Please Help!!

I bought an 05 636 last week that was laid down. I rode last Friday for a few miles and everything was fine. Haven't touched it in a week b/c the weather was crappy. Today I go out and the front wheel is locked. Tried to take off the calipers and they were stuck like glue to the rotors. Finally got them off and it seems that the left caliper is not releasing. I tried to push the pistons back in and as soon as I do one side the other tightens back up. What should I do next? Take the caliper apart? Thanks for the help.

Yo. I have that same bike. Im sorry to hear it was laid down. With out looking at it it seams as thou your on the right track. I think you mealted the pad it self to the rotor. pistion sounds siezed. With out damaging the rest hammer it apart or pry. Try taking the rotor off. After you didconnected the lines and all other parts. See if tht helps let me know how its coming.

Ya sorry I skipped the newbie hi section. I've got the caliper off just had to muscle it a little. NO I didn't take the cover off the master cylinder res when I was pushing the piston back. At this point the brake pads are touching each other and I can't seperate them even with the brake line off. Thanks for the help. Let me know what I got to do next.

What I really don't understand is why it was fine a week ago? And now I'm having this problem.

When you laid it down, some air probably got in there fron the Master Cylinder and expanded. Try relieving the pressure by loosening the bleed screws and do a thorough bleeding of the system including the Master Cylinder. Make sure that the piston moves freely when you push it in with the bleed screw loose. (Be ready for Brake fluid to squirt out at you; Wear safety glasses or ?.)

Get a new one. They are not that expensive and it can be the difference between brakes that stop and ones that let you hit the car stopping quick in front of you. Never mess around with faulty brakes.

I didn't actually lay it down. I'm going to buy set up on ebay now b/c there pretty cheap and I don't want to mess around with it. Thanks for the help.
