Even a new bike with a new battery can have corroded terminals. Doesn't take much; just loose connections and the corrosion starts. A thinlayer of filmbuilds up that prevents good current flow.I always take a wire brush or sandpaper to the mating surfaces of the terminals & posts to make sure it has the best contact. As for battery recomendations: Yuasa but you can get an Interstate battery with a pro-rated warranty.

Thanks guys I will purchase a new battery this weekend and I'll keep you guys posted. This is a new bike a '06 Ninja so i dont think it's the terminals being corroded. Any battery recomendations?

RE: A little bit of help with Troubleshooting!!!
Thanks guys I will do so. I a bought a battery tender and it came with some terminal hook ups for me to add and then just store underneath the seat. That way i can just plug in and maintain the new battery. Installation was a cakewalk. Well thanks I will purchace the battery this weekend. Does anyone recommend a brand of battery?

RE: A little bit of help with Troubleshooting!!!
You mention that this is a new bike 06. Are you the original owner and do you have warranty left?
Clean and clean everything.
Charge battery. Check battery. + 12volts
If it runs check voltage at idle and at 2500 rpm. > 14 volts?
If available consider gel battery. they seem to hold up better.

RE: A little bit of help with Troubleshooting!!!
I just went with a yuassa or some crap like that and ran my battery tender hook up down the sub frame and out right under the clutch side plastick piece so i only have to take off the 2 bolts and not the seat. ill post pics later on if you need any ideas.

I am the original owner of the Bike and it does have warranty left. I need to post some pics on here. I haven't done much to it other than putting flushed mount turning signals but thats it.

You have warranty! Make the dealer do the free checks and do the tender terminal install so that they can see first hand what is/was happening.
