Kawasaki ZX6 D3- StreetFighter?
Hi, i'm new to this forum, hope i am posting the right place!
A few months back i bought an old Kawasaki ZX6 D3 or ZZR600 1992, which it's called here.
I bought it for 10000 NOK, or 1 746 USD. At the time it wasn't running, i did get it cheap, i think...?https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ies/tongue.gif so i cleaned the engine, tank and cleaned and adjusted the carbs.
so since the bike is old and, it's missing a lot of fairings i thought i might as well just turn it into a street fighter- kinda thing.
so i ordered a xenon-lamp with a red halo ring, and i'm trying to get red fuel tank, the old one is rusted to **** and is leaking. previous owner cleaned it with water and didn't dry it good enough.
so my questions are:
-Anyone got any experience with making their own fairings. i'm talking front-fairings and maybe lower fairings.
i painted the tailfairings matt-black, and i think it looks good.
-Anyone got any experience in ordering fueltanks for Kawasaki bikes?
i need a red one!
i also need a new seat.
Anyone have any experience with making their own fairings, any advice or idead would be awesome!

Welcome to KF and congrats with the new ride.
I have made track fairings before using a vacuum form and pump. The issue with such a large fairing is that I did not have the proper means to heat the entire part for molding. Which is needed. So, unless you plan on crashing alot or selling off fairings, I found it cheaper to just buy them and paint. I understand that you are in Norway, so I am unfamiliar with suppliers/shipping in your area.
