How come you didnt get the full system? I been reading that a lot of people just buy the slip ons is this because it is good enough or is it because of the money issue?

Slip on verses Full system; I have a full system and it is good but you need to do more work to your bike when you install a full system. It affects the air fuel mixture and the bike will run lean and lean can do damage to the engine. To correct this you must get a Power commander and install the appropriate map to correct the lean condition.
You also lose low and mid range power, but gain top end that’s where you see the extra ponies, HP,. Low and mid is where street riders ride 99% of the time. Therefore, with the full system, you are gaining top end and hp where you do not need it and loosing low and mid that, you do need.
Do not get discouraged though there is a fix for the lose of low and mid and it comes from changing your sprockets. Smaller front and larger rear wakes up the bike and you get incredible low and mid range but you loose your top end speed. Say if you used to top out at 175 now it is 155, who rides at 175 though besides the occasional high speed run we all enjoy.
IMO if I were to do it again I would stick with the slip on that requires no PC or remapping of the air fuel mixture. Today most bikes off the show room floor have more than enough power for most of us. The slip on will increase a little hp and sound great with out the extra cost and needed tuning of a full system. The track bike is a different story though.
Ride safe and fast.
